I mean, I </span><span style="font-style: italic; color: rgb(204, 204, 204);font-family:arial;" >really</span><span style="color: rgb(204, 204, 204);font-family:arial;" >, </span><span style="font-style: italic; color: rgb(204, 204, 204);font-family:arial;" >truly</span><span style="color: rgb(204, 204, 204);font-family:arial;" > haven't written much of anything since the first week of May. Which is embarrassing, for a creative writing major.</span><br /><span style="color: rgb(204, 204, 204);font-family:arial;" >It has been even longer since I've blogged. (i.e. taken time to write at length about something that wasn't for class). My last blog post was in December of 2008, just before I transferred colleges and moved away from home.</span><br /><span style="color: rgb(204, 204, 204);font-family:arial;" >And so much has changed.</span><br /><span style="color: rgb(204, 204, 204);font-family:arial;" >I'm starting this blog so that I have a place to write, and fewer excuses not to. I told myself in January that I would set aside time every day to write. It didn't happen. I bought a journal; it's still blank. So I'm starting this, and promising that I will post at least one line a day. That sounds ridiculous, but I have to start somewhere. Until I decide which direction I want to go with this blog, that will be my pledge. Hopefully, I will write more. But I will make every effort to write something every day.</span><br /><span style="color: rgb(204, 204, 204);font-family:arial;" >So, in the mean time, I will share something. It has been working on me.</span><br /><br /><a style="font-family: arial; color: rgb(0, 204, 204);" href="http://media.slate.com/media/slate/Podcasts/poems/The_Age.mp3"><span style="color: rgb(204, 204, 204);">"The Age"</span></a><span style="font-family: arial; color: rgb(204, 204, 204);"> (click the link to hear it read by the author)</span><br /><br /><span style="color: rgb(204, 204, 204);font-family:arial;" ><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"><br /></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span>Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11259511778379227301noreply@blogger.com0
